I am a Homeowner

Current eligible homeowners that are losing their current home and will be homeless if not  for assistance from Iowa Rental Help, may be eligible to receive assistance with the eligible expenses below, to become self-sufficient. Homeowners must ensure that they qualify.

  • Cost of inspections for habitability standards
  • Hotel/Motel vouchers
  • Housing search and placement
  • Legal Aid – eviction only

  • Security Deposit
  • Storage (up to 3 months)
  • Utility Assistance
  • Utility Deposit
  • Assistance longer than 18 months
  • Child care
  • Credit back payments (credit cards, loans, etc.)
  • Direct payments to program participants
  • Education (books, fees, tuition, etc.)
  • Employment training
  • Food, household items, clothing
  • Furniture and appliances
  • Mortgage assistance
  • Transportation (gas, fees, tuition, etc.)
